Ready to be ready...
or just ready.
I went to a cacao ceremony last night. During the ceremony we were asked to set an intention. We were told to make it something like “I want to feel good in my body” rather than “I no longer want to experience pain.”
Right away, I closed my eyes, and the word ready came to me. I felt it on a cellular level. I started to run through in my mind all the things I’m ready for. It’s so easy to focus on what we don’t want, sometimes that gets in the way of what we do.
It’s not always as easy as stopping what we know isn’t good for us, but rather spending our time doing things we know will support us. Just like our yoga practice is meant to get us to the places we didn’t know we weren’t going, such is life.
For a long time, I’ve been saying “I’m ready to be ready.” but after last night I’m switching this to just “ready.” Let’s see where it takes me.
