New year, same me...
I had a goal on getting 10k steps a day and I was on a roll until I was in my Airbnb doing laps around the space at 11:30 pm after a full day of travel and it hit me. I don’t need to be so rigid. I was reminded of the underpinning of why I wanted to hit this goal and it was to get outside.
I like this idea of taking walks without any devices, so not having my phone to track my steps is more of what I want to focus on. Intentionally unplugging. Caring less about the outcome and more about how I feel along the way.
As much as I love the idea of a new year and starting fresh, I think the focus needs to be more on building momentum so when life pushes us down, we can bounce back. Instead of thinking about becoming someone new, I think we can focus on being more of who we are.

I love this Josie. Another writer I also admire wrote something in a similar vein recently about how we don't need to audition for the role of who we are anymore, we are already there and can just enjoy it. Always appreciate the timing of your newsletters in my inbox! Thank you <3
