A good recipe...
Finding the "and"
I think it’s our nature to want to fit ourselves into a box. I practice this kind of yoga. I don’t eat gluten. I’m dairy free. But then one day, you try a new kind of yoga. You eat the bread. You add heavy creamer to your coffee.
A good recipe isn’t just that the meal is good, it’s how we feel after. When I first started practicing Katonah, it didn’t matter what it was called or the fact that I couldn’t explain it with words, what mattered was the residue it left long after the practice.
Even when we find something we love, it can continue to be a trap. We try to fit within the confines of it and forget why we fell in love with it in the first place. Instead, can we continue to find the and instead of putting a period on who we are and what we do.
